Passion Performance There are so many children across the Nation who love to dance but are unable to because of financial reasons or physical set backs. I, myself, have struggled with both of these conditions. At age twelve I was injured in cheerleading and suffered from a cerebral contusion, a bruise to the left lobe of the brain. I was placed in Children’s Hospital for two weeks, unable to eat or drink. By the grace of God and the good will of the doctors, I recovered. I found that my life was a gift, and so was the art of dance. I have been working to create this program, Passion Performance, for 4 years and so far it has been a great success. Seeing the smiles on both the child and the parent’s faces is extremely rewarding and helps me to know that this program is worth while. It may not be a way to save a life, but I know that it has already touched the lives of many. Through dance children learn creative movement, balance, and most importantly how to have a good time. The program especially helps those who are ill; it simply brightens their days.
